Of course you can negotiate the price downwards. Get what estimates you need. Roofers will turn out rapidly for estimates. The agent will p on your concerns and you should get at the very least a part reduction. Times are hard for agents and vendors, so I would be very surprised indeed if you didn't get a good result.
