Can somebody explain this quote?

Sounds like a rip off of the Atman/Brahman/Moksha belief in Hinduism, in which Atman is an individuals "spirit", Brahman is the "supreme spirit", and Moksha is the realization that they are both the same thus freeing or liberating that individual.
