How do you clean nonstick spray off a nonstick pan?

My boyfriend used nonstick cooking spray on my new nonstick skillet, and ever since, food has been sticking to it. I've tried soaking it and scrubbing with a non-abrasive pad and it hasn't helped. How can I clean it?
